Network Operations Center

Our offshore NOC (Network Operations Center), also known as a Datacenter or Data Center, is located in Hong Kong, the financial and telecommunications center of Asia. The facility has been designed from the start to be extremely reliable and scalable, and has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.

The following is a live image of one of the security cameras located inside the secure NOC area (updated every 5 seconds):

The NOC is located in a Grade AAA High-rise Building with 24 hour security and Emergency Contingency Plan.

Technical Specifications:

  • 450mm raised floor system
  • False ceiling system
  • 2600mm headroom between raised floor and false ceiling
  • Cat 6 cabling connectivity
  • HID Corporation Proximity Card and PIN Access Control
  • 24 hour security guard

The NOC is connected by multiple fibre optic connections and direct ground-level risers, and electrical power is supplied through dual direct-connection power feeders from CLP (China Light & Power Holdings Ltd.). Redundant UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems with battery and diesel generator provide backup power when required.

Our fast acting FM200 fire suppression system is used throughout the NOC, and is designed for quick fire suppression without harming electrical equipment or human life.

Hong Kong is located in a geographically/seismically stable region, further lowering the chance of any interruptions to our electrical power or physical network layer.

"Most earthquakes of the world occur along the boundaries of crustal plates. Hong Kong lies within the Eurasian Plate and is located far away, about 600 km, from the nearest boundary with the Pacific Plate on the Circum-Pacific Seismic Belt that runs through Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines. Therefore, the chance of a major local tremor is very small.
