Specifications of the service:

• Hardware based firewall protection: inspects and filters data before it ever reaches your servers, for maximum security, protection, and performance
• Complete transparency: no changing or re-configuring of your existing server setup required, including any software or networking (through Proxy-ARP transparency)
• Intrusion Detection System (IDS): monitoring traffic at the protocol level and detecting patterns of behaviour identifying an intrusion, then actively blocking the attacks, all before they reach your servers
• Firewall: Application-level Packet Filtering, Stateful Packet Inspection, Secure Proxy
• Comprehensive protection: protection against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, port scanning, and various protocol level intrusions (such as address spoofing, NAT-probing, vulnerability exploitation, Nimda, Code Red, MSQL Sapphire Worm, Deloder worm, etc).
• Unmetered protection: no set limit on the number of users, connections, or bandwidth for protection
• Anti-Virus Throughput: ~2000 messages per hour, protects against attachment viruses, worms, and trojans in SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4
• Anti-spam Throughput: ~2000 messages per hour, protects via heuristic detection of spam in SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4
• Live dynamic updating: as soon as a security vulnerability, virus, or worm is identified, the system is actively updated to protect you against the threat (current average over 10 updates daily)

The one-time setup fee includes pre-configuration and customization of all firewall and IDS policies into the Firewall/IDS. The configuration is then backed up to a separate server, so that in the unlikely event of failure, the configuration can be restored on a new Firewall/IDS appliance quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption.

The monthly fee includes Live dynamic updates for 1 year and any incremental updates to the firewall and IDS policies. This is paid once per year in advance.
